Introduction
Cardio vascular and thoracic surgery department deals with diseases relating to heart, lungs and blood vessels. Its activities include OPD services, indoor services, major and minor surgeries and office activities. Patients are mainly referred from cardiology, pulmonary medicine and general surgery.
Vision
Vision of department is to establish a fully functional cardiac surgery centre along with thoracic and vascular surgeries with aim to provide all high end surgeries related to CTVS in this centre and prevent undue referral to distant hospitals. With his vision we are willing to establish DR RPGMC TANDA as a premier tertiary care centre in real means.
Facilities
Presently CTVS department is performing all minor and major thoracic as well as vascular surgeries (lobectomies, pneumonectomies, decortications, enucleation of lung cyst , bullectomies ,aortofemoral, axillofemoral & thoracofemoral bypass graft and other routine revasculrisation procedures for perephiral vascular dieases) with regular efforts to start cardiac surgery at the earliest possible.
