Introduction
Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism was established at Dr RPGMC Tanda in August 2019with single faculty. Currently, there are two faculty members trained from the best institutes in the country. Endocrinology is a sub-speciality that is comparatively newer in the institute and is rapidly growing towards a firm establishment. At present, we are providing OPD services to >….patients per year. We have recently started OPD services on all weekdays (Monday-Saturday). We provide comprehensive and evidence-based management to the patients treated under our sub-speciality which include patients with diabetes mellitus, endocrine hypertension, obesity, lipid disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, pituitary disorders(including short stature, diabetes insipidus, tall stature, Cushing syndrome, acromegaly, hyperprolactinemia), Adrenal disorders(including adrenal tumours, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, ambiguous genitalia, pheochromocytoma, hyperaldosteronism and adrenal insufficiency), Gonadal disorders(Delayed puberty, precocious puberty, hypogonadism, infertility and PCOS), disorders of bone and mineral metabolism(including osteoporosis, renal tubular acidosis, hyperparathyroidism) and electrolyte imbalance.
